Weight loss and Technology, are they connected?

Many people are waiting around for the easy way out, which involves pressing a button and then the waist gets smaller, muscles build up, stamina increases, and the “look good” body that they are looking for will appear.  Whether it’s the time constraints of meetings at work, family activities, or life’s inconsistent issues that pop up, working out and keeping healthy seems to take a backseat when it clashes against these variations. Between the time to workout and the ability for technology to provide the bridge between that gap, is where the two intersect.

The first aspect of any weight loss when assessing the ability to lose weight is to understand the mechanics. The mechanics of the body are the same as with any computer. Whatever you program into a computer is the output that you will get. The data that the software holds is the mental capacity that people allow to retain when it comes to the steps and processes to weight loss. The software that the data is housed is the operating system, databases, and applications. The second aspect of weight loss is the hardware that holds the software. For many IT professionals the hardware is viewed as the keyboards, the motherboard, the mouse, the computer or server. Transversely, the hardware for people is the body. The body is the arms, the legs, the muscles, and the other physical aspects that it needs to function. The CPU and main unit to make all these different aspects to function is the mind when referring to the body. All aspects of these functions come from the mind and the mind is in the brain.

Now that we have established that the will power to work out comes from the mind, now here is where the technology plays a part. If the will is there, then the technology to help fester the will to lose weight and be healthier is there. The utilization of these tools are purely dependent on the CPU which is the mind and its ability to see the person in the mirror not as where they are now, but where they want to be.

 

FITNESS TRACKERS

Technologies that are capable of showing that improvement and help that goal to be accomplished are such as Fitness trackers that are found in products such as the Apple iWatch or Fitbit. These trackers are designed to keep track of all sedentary and energetic activities. With the ability to see where a person is currently, then adjustments can be made to increase the calories being burned, increase the amount of energy projected by the body, and more importantly increase a person’s productivity.

 

SMARTPHONE APPS

Other technologies which give the edge are smart phone apps that have a wealth of data and knowledge bases that others have shared that have given them the success they were seeking.  These apps do a variety of functions including track current weight and weight goal. Other apps are capable of using GPS accelerometers to show successes and different times that a person was most active. Apps are available that monitor eating habits and make recommendations to allow the maximum weight loss effects.

 

 

 

 

 

WEIGHTS AND MACHINES

Industry leaders such as Bowflex and other manufacturers have created electronic weights that are cost effective and in tune with the user. These weights promote balance and ensure that the maximum effort is endured with each stride and rep taken with the weights. Other equipment include stair climbers, treadmills, cross trainers, and many more. The equipment by many of these major manufacturers are designed with comfort, safety, and efficiency which is what makes them the most technologically advanced available today. Electronic scales can now access body mass, fat, and graphically digitize the effects of what was consumed daily. Companies that have these advanced sales are Withings Smart Body Anlalyzer which also syncs with any smart phone. Other companies such us urbanwearables have wearable technology which stimulate muscle contraction through electro-stimuli and mimics the efforts of a person contracting the muscles themselves.

BENEFITS OF TECHNOLOGY AND WEIGHT LOSS

The benefits of having technology blended with weight loss plans is the ability to see the results of success and failure. The difference between the motivation to keep going and the ability to quit is the results that people are able to see. These technological advancements described in the article aren’t “push button” strategies that will melt the fat away or to “magically” give a person the body that they seek. These technologies are simply created to assist in making the process of weight loss more inspirational by allowing daily results to be seen and keeping records to avoid pit falls that do happen when encompassing the journey of weight loss. When taking on the effort of weight loss, it takes the inner focus and desire to do so, but with the technological advancements of today, achieving the weight loss goal is more tangible when these technologies are utilized in unison.

Futuristic Transportation Already Testing – Hyperloop One is making Leaps of Speed!

Nowadays the most common forms of transportation are cars, buses, trains, airplanes, and even boats. We tend to know the safety, reliability, and efficiency of using these vessels. They have been a part of society for many, many years. By using these vessels, we have learned to deal with traffic that causes delays in motor vehicle transportation, airplanes that get delayed for various unforeseen reasons, and boats that also run late due to inclement weather and other unforeseen circumstances. We have begun to understand and compromise in order to accommodate life’s unknowns that tend to come up.

What if there was another method of transportation that could transport passengers almost as fast as an airplane without hesitation due to the weather or delayed due to traffic? Would you be willing to try it out and make it a part of your daily transportation routine? Well, the people at Hyperloop One believe they have the answer and they have been testing their resolve with the testing of Hyperloop One.

 

Many people wonder what consists of a Hyperloop.  Well it’s an environmentally friendly and efficient new way of transportation.  Many depictions of a hyperloop were in James Bond “The Living Daylights” and “The Polar Express”. Now the dream of the Hyperloop has been brought to life by a company called by the same name “Hyperloop One”. Hyperloop One has begun testing their version of the Hyperloop in Nevada, just north of Las Vegas. Hyperloop One is now on it’s way to getting this new mode of transportation on the market as soon as they can complete their testing to show its ability to not only transport safely, but also faster than any other mode of transportation and equal to that of an airplane, but without the high altitudes.

Hyperloop One anticipates at the peak of the Hyperloop introduction into society, they are anticipating speeds at the speed of sound or 750 miles per hour. The two tests in the desert showed promising. The first test conducted showed the pod tapping out at 2Gs of acceleration and a top speed of 70 Mph. The second test, the company published a video showing the pod tapping out at 192 Mph to give an idea of the direction it is heading towards getting faster and faster in its journey towards the speed of sound.

The mechanics behind the Hyperloop is the Hyperloop One is composed of a 1 passenger pod, which is 28 feet that is composed of aluminum and fiber for its outer shell. The pod was able to reach the top speed of 192 miles per hour in a mere 5 seconds and covering 300 feet before slowing down. Hyperloop one is powered by an electric propulsion system. The pod is pulled along a low-pressure tube by magnetic accelerators which push the pod along the tubes. This system gives the pod its ability to move quickly and slow down equally the same. To deal with air pressure buildup in the front of the pod, the team of Hyperloop One has added air compressors at the front of the pod which moves the air to the rear, while helping to keep the pod aloft by using the air displacement. This new technology could turn a 6 hr trip into a 35 min ride in the Hyperloop.

 

This new mode of transportation is more efficient than conventional rails, water, air, and roads that the world has grown accustomed to using. More overly it is environmentally friendly with zero emissions, faster, and does not use any oil that we are so heavily dependent on currently.  On top of using electric power, the Hyperloop would also be equipped with solar panels which will distribute solar energy making it a low electric energy consumer.
