Transformation of ANY surface into a Biometric Sensor! Ingenious!

Security is top of the line with any innovation. That’s the aspect of technology which frightens even the most daring of people. It allures the second-guessing mentality, doubt, and even the inability to move forward.  Security is the one aspect which has kept many designs from implemented and many new innovations from getting the much-needed attention. This risk of security is a rightful thought as it only takes one breach of data, loss of identity, or corruption of that data, which can cause chaos. That is why many people rely on trusted devices for their security. The conventional house alarm is evolving into one of those technically savvy devices which is rapidly becoming more mobile while keeping the home or business secure.

One innovation which has not yet hit the market, but is making waves is VibWrite. The name alone is a bit confusing, but as we dive more into what this gadget is, is the more the name makes sense. VibWrite is a very innovative device. The overview of the device is that it turns any ordinary flat surface into a biometric ID sensor. This means that VibWrite can change a table, flat handle on a door or car, computer, into a new security focused device. Once the device is installed and programmed, the user simply must place the stored finger or fingers on the surface of the device or door they are trying to access, and it will open the door or computer.

The question arises that how can the device capture any finger print when the surface it is not attached to a readable surface? Well VibWrite has the key.  The technology captures the unique vibrating signature of the bones in the finger. The security question now comes into play to find out how does each person’s finger differentiate from the other?  This is where the security component comes in.  Each person’s bone structure is unique to that person. Because of the difference in the bone structure, when a person presses their finger against a surface, it applies pressure differently. This is what causes the unique surface vibration that the VibWrite stores.


VibWrite was not a sole person effort, nor the effort of one organization. VibWrite is the result of the collaborative efforts of researchers at the University of Alabama and Rutgers University.  Together they have tested and manufactured this device.  The ability to not require specific additional hardware other than what comes with the VibWrite, makes this device very cost effective in comparison to other devices that require additional hardware to store.  The device is comprised of a Piezoelectric sensor, Amplifier board, and vibration motor.  Though the device is small, it packs the efficiency of up to 95% accuracy.  The false positive rating for the device is less than 3 percent, making its accuracy more profound than other devices on the market.

With a rapidly booming market that struts an estimated growth of 10 billion by 2018. Even though these larger systems can be bulky, they are the traditional equipment that is currently approved.  The current security systems come with intercoms, fingerprint card readers, and cameras.  VibWrite comes with the two connectors and that is it.  With its small size, VibWrite allows users to choose the security function they want. The security feature of VibWrite grants users access based on a PIN, or lock pattern.

As technology hardware becomes smaller and more powerful, so does its uses and the ability to interconnect both physical and machine. VibWrite is another example of technology boldly making that move. They are still in the process of getting this device approved for commercial use, but in the meantime IT GURUS OF ATLANTA will keep give steady updates as this technology unfolds.

Futuristic Transportation Already Testing – Hyperloop One is making Leaps of Speed!

Nowadays the most common forms of transportation are cars, buses, trains, airplanes, and even boats. We tend to know the safety, reliability, and efficiency of using these vessels. They have been a part of society for many, many years. By using these vessels, we have learned to deal with traffic that causes delays in motor vehicle transportation, airplanes that get delayed for various unforeseen reasons, and boats that also run late due to inclement weather and other unforeseen circumstances. We have begun to understand and compromise in order to accommodate life’s unknowns that tend to come up.

What if there was another method of transportation that could transport passengers almost as fast as an airplane without hesitation due to the weather or delayed due to traffic? Would you be willing to try it out and make it a part of your daily transportation routine? Well, the people at Hyperloop One believe they have the answer and they have been testing their resolve with the testing of Hyperloop One.


Many people wonder what consists of a Hyperloop.  Well it’s an environmentally friendly and efficient new way of transportation.  Many depictions of a hyperloop were in James Bond “The Living Daylights” and “The Polar Express”. Now the dream of the Hyperloop has been brought to life by a company called by the same name “Hyperloop One”. Hyperloop One has begun testing their version of the Hyperloop in Nevada, just north of Las Vegas. Hyperloop One is now on it’s way to getting this new mode of transportation on the market as soon as they can complete their testing to show its ability to not only transport safely, but also faster than any other mode of transportation and equal to that of an airplane, but without the high altitudes.

Hyperloop One anticipates at the peak of the Hyperloop introduction into society, they are anticipating speeds at the speed of sound or 750 miles per hour. The two tests in the desert showed promising. The first test conducted showed the pod tapping out at 2Gs of acceleration and a top speed of 70 Mph. The second test, the company published a video showing the pod tapping out at 192 Mph to give an idea of the direction it is heading towards getting faster and faster in its journey towards the speed of sound.

The mechanics behind the Hyperloop is the Hyperloop One is composed of a 1 passenger pod, which is 28 feet that is composed of aluminum and fiber for its outer shell. The pod was able to reach the top speed of 192 miles per hour in a mere 5 seconds and covering 300 feet before slowing down. Hyperloop one is powered by an electric propulsion system. The pod is pulled along a low-pressure tube by magnetic accelerators which push the pod along the tubes. This system gives the pod its ability to move quickly and slow down equally the same. To deal with air pressure buildup in the front of the pod, the team of Hyperloop One has added air compressors at the front of the pod which moves the air to the rear, while helping to keep the pod aloft by using the air displacement. This new technology could turn a 6 hr trip into a 35 min ride in the Hyperloop.


This new mode of transportation is more efficient than conventional rails, water, air, and roads that the world has grown accustomed to using. More overly it is environmentally friendly with zero emissions, faster, and does not use any oil that we are so heavily dependent on currently.  On top of using electric power, the Hyperloop would also be equipped with solar panels which will distribute solar energy making it a low electric energy consumer.

Most people have barred the thought of using pay phones for anything these days. Most of them, if existent, are either broken down or hasn’t been used in a very long time.  Pay phones which were once the trend of the 80s-90’s is now the dinosaur of the 2000’s.  No longer are pay phones the starting point for conversations, but now seeing one that works is like seeing a historic exhibit.  Just leave it to New Yorkers to change the dying trend and revamp them into the next big wave.


Already in progress and construction is the replacement of all of New York’s 10,000 pay phones into what is rapidly being called “Links”.  The project is being called LinkNYC.  In many locations already the payphones are being replaced by Links.  Instead of seeing the broken down features of the payphone, you are seeing big and bright advertisements that cover the entire more than 50% of the station on both sides.


These stations do more than just advertise products, but offer FREE, yes, that’s right F R E E Wi-Fi access to anyone passing by.  The most important part is that the access to these Wi-Fi spots give Gigabit speeds which is 20 times faster than most New Yorkers home internet.  What that translates to is that downloading a 2hr HD movie can be downloaded as fast as 30 seconds.  That is some serious speed while you are on the go in the streets of New York.

The surprises don’t stop there for LinkNYC either.  You will also be able to make free nation-wide calls in the U.S., access to city services, directions, 311 access, 911 access, and free charging station for mobile devices. All these features bundled up into each of the Links installed.  The Links have been designed by the team at Antenna Design which make the Links compliant with the American Disabilities Act. CityBridge is the consortium behind the development of the units.


At this point everyone is wondering how is all of this being funded? Does this mean an increase in taxes, or will there be a surcharge being spiked up for New Yorkers?  The answer to the question is that New York plans to fund these Links by advertisements all around the Links.  The large and colorful screens on the sides of the Links can not only display ads, but also public announcements and emergencies.  The ads which are anticipated to generate more than $500 million in revenue will eliminate the need for taxes to be a source of revenue.

The project go-live date is the end of 2015.

First Flying Car? Myth or Truth? AeroMobil 3.0 says Truth!

Flying cars? Ok, so who has been watching too many “Back To The Future” reruns?  Yes, flying cars is no longer a mystery or something thought up in some sci-fi film. Flying cars are finally here. The latest introduction of the AeroMobil 3.0 seems to be the trendsetting leader with seamless integration between road and air. This vehicle is changing the way how manufacturers and aeronautics look at the coalition of flying your car to your destination or driving to complete your journey without any wait or excessive plane fares.

Who said that traffic jams don’t have a solution? Not more roads is the solution, but taking your car to the air and flying to your destination. Although the AeroMobile 3.0 only fits two people at a time, what it lacks in passenger capacity, it makes up for in specs and usability.   When the AeroMobil 3.0 is in car mode, it can top off at 100mph.  As a an airplane, the vehicle can get to top speeds of 124mph.  As far as economizing, the vehicle has a traveling distance of up to 540 miles when driving.  The wing span is 27 feet and is 19.7 feet in length.





The company states that it is gearing sales mainly towards developing markets which may not have much roads, highways, or airports as part of their infrastructure.   Even though its maiden flight made the Vienna Pioneers Festival in Austria a buzz, it is not yet ready for full blown production.  However, once it is ready for production, the only thing a person needs is $200,000-$300,000 plus a pilot’s license. Once those key requirements are in order, then you can be first in line to receive your own AeroMobil 3.0.
